Projects

Project work, which is part of the educational program, holds an important place on the course, especially in the 2nd and 3rd years. More often than not, the project, which corresponds to teamwork on a specific subject in an industrial area, is supervised by a tutor.

Placements

There are three types of placement during the three years of study :

. at the end of first year, an introductory placement in a company (working placement) is held during the summer, over a minimum period of five weeks.
. at the end of second year, an engineering student placement lasting a minimum of 6 weeks is carried out in a company (control placement) or laboratory.
. in the third year an end-of-studies placement is carried out to validate the student's engineering skills. This placement, which lasts for a minimum period of five months, begins in February.

During the course, the engineering student may also carry out a placement abroad. Today, about 20% of students from the three departments carry out placements abroad.
The Polytechnic School aims to increase overseas exchanges, and its objective is that 50% of students are able to participate in such exchanges.
Today, students from the Polytech can be found in the United States, Canada, Australia, Asia, Central America (Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela) and many other countries around the world.
