Admission to the 1st year is decided :
. By competition :
For students from preparatory classes of major French Schools :
. Series MP(Maths / Physical sciences), PC (Physics / Chemistry), PSI (Physical sciences / Engineering sciences) and PT (Physical sciences / Industrial sciences) : the Archimedes competition - pre-registration is compulsory by Minitel - 3615 GCP)
. Series TSI (Technology / Industrial sciences), ATS (Mathematics, Physical sciences and technology) : the EIA (Associated Engineering Schools) competition, section A.

. By competition / application :
In the first year for candidates who hold a DEUG (Associate's Degree), a DUT (University Diploma in Technology) or BTS (Advanced Technicians Diploma), or a degree and students from Advanced Mathematics courses other than MP, PC, PSI, PT, TSI, ATS.
Candidates from overseas :
The holders of diplomas from outside France must have similar training to that of French candidates and good working knowledge of the French language.
Application fees :
The candidate's application must be accompanied by a cheque for 30 euros, to cover processing and competition fees. This cheque should be made out to : Agent comptable de l' U.P.
The admissible candidates will be called for an interview.
This consists of a discussion with a team of lecturers from the School, in order to evaluate the open-mindedness of the candidate and his motivation for the engineering profession.
